HAMPTON BY HILTON HOTEL. JOHN LENNON AIRPORT, LIVERPOOL

Introduction

The Hampton by Hilton Hotel adjacent to John Lennon Airport in Liverpool was built in 2009. It has 160 rooms and is operated by Peel Leisure. Telecom Resource Installed a Mitel 3300 Integrated Communications Platform for the hotel in 2008

The Problem

The Hotel had multi-services including ISDN 30, analogue lines and broadband from various providers. There has been a history of external line faults, which meant all calls had to be diverted to one society mobile phone. This problem in conjunction with the pending switch off was causing challenges, all exacerbated by the slow recovery of Covid and consequent falling revenue.

The Solution

Telecom Resource were engaged by the hotel operators to provide a ‘one stop solution’. After an audit of all the bills and physical circuits, Telecom Resources’ engineers discovered that some lines were no longer used or services could be provided differently.

Telecom Resource installed a dedicated, proactive monitored data circuit and a Sangoma session border controller in conjunction with SIP trunks to ‘future-proof ’ the system.

Audio AI services such as Voice Record and Call Queuing can now be introduced as soon as required.

The Result

Hampton by Hilton has a full technical refresh and are already saving over £8,000 per year.
